I also saw that the first person the shooter encountered was the usher (who would be the first person you'd encounter in most churches, if you got there after the service was underway), and that bystander accounts are that he put himself in harm's way to protect the rest of the congregation. I also saw that the shooter was overpowered by the congregants.

There was courage in that congregation. I am sorry they had to make use of it, but glad that they were well-supplied.
